The Wyoming Board of Cosmetology's official page states Natural Hair Braiding is not regulated by the board of cosmetology in Wyoming — the exemption applies to braiding-only services and excludes cutting, clipping, trimming, hair removal, styling, curling, waving, and chemical services; infection-control training is recommended but voluntary. Cosmetology licensure under W.S. Title 33, Ch. 12 requires 1,600 hours.

Braiding exemptions and certificates typically cover natural hair work: braiding, twisting, locking, weaving, and extensions using natural or synthetic hair. They do NOT cover chemical services (relaxers, color), cutting, or treatments — those sit under the full cosmetology license everywhere.
